I don’t know why but that quote has been stuck in my head all day. Tablo’s lylics as always are poetic, I really adore this man, he’s very talented and his english is amazing.
these are just some scans and photos of my way to the swirly-werly’s, I was afraid that I’m gonna ruin it with them but I’m quite pleased with how it turned out. well you can’t really read the quote but I like how it looks. In the next post I am going to put some texture experiments I did with this illustration.
The song itself is calm, slow hiphop? rap? idk. but it brings some memories, brings some nostalgia.
just small experiment to see if I can mix media as I used to … the answer is no :c this is not the worst work I did this year so far but its also not the best :/ It’s hard to go back to your style after college I shit you not as I didn’t keep the photo reference during the colouring part it might be quite improvised
!!!also small notice for whoever would be interested:!!! as its summer time and end of college I’mOPEN FOR RANDOM REQUESTS. just message me!! I really need to go back to my form after the longest art block I ever had and college projects. FINALLY ART FREEDOM FUCK YEAH
why GD why him again might ask someone who knows me irl sorry I really like his Vouge photoshoots m’kay.
so these are my pieces for my fmp magically titled by my tutor: ”Refugees of my mind”. although I’m happy with the artwork itself I’m extremely worried about my sketchbook work and annotation skills. There’s 50/50 chance that I may fail this year, yay procrastination.
all photos taken with my DSLR Canon EOS D1000 with the basic lense. locations presented on the photographs are from Weston-Super-Mare, London and Woods near Sand Bay Kewstoke.
Characters were added using my Bamboo graphic tablet and PaintTOOL SAI drawing software.
I used my semi-relistic-no-outlines style not my cartoony/sketchy-usual style.
